So you’ve been researching for a long time and you’ve come across one or more ‘brick walls’ with people in your tree.

Brick walls can take many forms.  Maybe you have a relative where you are unable to find the parents marriage and so unable to move back further.  It could be you are unable to find a birth or baptism record for a relative meaning you cannot go back further.  Sometimes a brick wall can simply be no record of the existing of a person before a particular point in time.

With new records coming online almost daily and others in the process of being transcribed, these brick walls are slowly becoming easier to ‘knock down’.
